Alcohol free in Paris? Is that even possible?
While it may seem impossible in a culture where wine is quite popular (and grown almost throughout the country!), it is actually possible to enjoy dinner and drinks in Paris without having alcohol.
Not only are there French wineries making booze-free wine in France, but alcohol free shops (and even a little bar!) are popping up throughout Paris!
So, I decided to do some research and even do a fun booze-free Paris crawl one day while there recently!
I will preface this by saying that I am not someone who doesn’t drink alcohol period, but I am someone who does enjoy trying out various alcohol free beverages and mocktails! Sometimes you want a fun drink but without actually feeling the effects of a fun drink if you know what I mean.
So let’s talk all about great alcohol free shops in Paris, bars to visit that serve mocktails (including a completely booze-free bar), and restaurants that have fun mocktails.
Oh, and I’m going to let you know other drinks you can have that are completely normal for lunch, dinner, apero, etc. that are just naturally not boozy.

Alcohol Free Shops in Paris
Whether you’re heading to a dinner party, want a picnic in a park, or want to catch an epic sunset on the Seine with a glass of AF (alcohol-free) wine, you’re going to want to pick up something. But where?
Most grocery stores have quite the selection of wine…but not so much alcohol free wine. Thankfully, there are shops around the city that have plenty of choices.
1. La Paon Qui Boit
61 Rue de Meaux, 75019 Paris
Known as the first alcohol-free shop in Paris, this place is absolutely stacked with booze free options!
Alcohol free beer from around the world? Check. A plethora of the finest French and other wines without the alcohol? Check. Mocktails in a can that are ready to bring to your picnic? Absolutely!
I’ve been to this cute shop a couple of times, and each time I’m super impressed with their selection. We’re talking delicious Belgian non-alcoholic beers, sparkling French AF wines, and, my personal favorite, mocktails in a can.
On my recent visit, I grabbed a paloma and spitz mocktails and we took them over to the nearby Parc des Buttes-Chaumont (my favorite park in all of Paris) and sipped them while people-watching.
This is a great spot to stop before a picnic at Parc des Buttes-Chaumont as it is less than a 10-minute walk away!
Hours: Monday 4-8 pm. Tuesday-Thursday 11 am-2 pm and 4-8 pm. Friday-Saturday 11 am-8 pm.
2. Déjà Bu?
4 Rue Popincourt, 75011 Paris
This place is located in the 11th and not only sells alcohol free wine and booze free liquors, but it is also a booze-free bar!
Yes, there is a little area where you can sit, sip, and enjoy their fun mocktail creations! They have a mocktail list to choose from, or you can ask for other things they have. For instance, I ordered a limoncello mocktail spritz and it was super delicious!
Want to grab a mocktail before dinner? This is a great little spot to pick up stuff and have a drink.
Hours: Tuesday-Thursday 11 am-8 pm. Friday-Saturday 11 am-8:30 pm.
3. Xavier Alcool sans Alcool
27 Rue Bleue, 75009 Paris
This is another alcohol free shop in Paris selling booze free wine, beer, and liquor for your next dinner party, picnic, or apero!
I haven’t been here yet, but it looks like they have a great wine list and other options!
Hours: Monday 3-8 pm. Tuesday 12-8 pm. Wednesday-Saturday 11:30 am-8 pm.
4. Drinks&Co
106 bis Rue Saint-Lazare, 75008 Paris
This is a shop that does serve wine and spirits, but it also sells alcohol free items too! You can even try before you buy some of their items!
Shop Hours: Monday-Saturday 11 am-9 pm.
5. La Grande Epicerie de Paris
38 Rue de Sèvres, 75007 Paris & 80 Rue de Passy, 75016 Paris
Yes, the famous grocery store in Paris, known for its butter selection on social media, also has a wide range of alcohol free wines, beer, and liquors.
And there are actually 2 locations in Paris to visit. There is one in the 7th that is the largest and most popular, as it is in Le Bon Marche. However, there is a smaller, lesser visited spot in Passy in the 16th.
Hours: 7th arrondissement location: Monday-Saturday from 8:30 am-9 pm. Sunday from 10 am-8 pm.
16th arrondissement location: Monday-Saturday from 9 am-8:30 pm. Sunday from 9 am-12:45 pm.
Best Bars Serving Mocktails in Paris
Want to go out with friends or have a drink with someone but don’t want to drink? Honestly, that is no big deal at all. There are SO many bars in Paris that offer mocktail options, including the popular ones! Here are places to get mocktails in Paris.
1. Déjà Bu?
4 Rue Popincourt, 75011 Paris
Okay, I just mentioned this above, but a mocktail bar is great to go to as well! The bad thing is that this isn’t open late for after dinner drinks. But if you want a fun apero (before dinner drinks), this is a lovely place to have a mocktail!
Hours: Tuesday-Thursday 11 am-8 pm. Friday-Saturday 11 am-8:30 pm.
2. Rehab
254 rue Saint-Honoré, 75001 Paris
Located in the 1st arrondissement, this inventive cocktail bar in Paris is a speakeasy too. The best part for those who are sober in Paris is that they also have mocktails on their list!
And they are as perfectly crafted as their regular cocktails!
To get in, you’ll have to go through the Normandy Le Chantier hotel, past the taco bar, and then the bar is at the bottom of a spiral staircase.
Hours: Tuesday-Saturday 6 pm-2 am.
3. Drinks&Co
106 bis Rue Saint-Lazare, 75008 Paris
This shop also has a bar serving both cocktails and mocktails with unique and interesting flavors. And they have delicious tapas you can pair it with either for apero or even dinner.
Bar Hours: Monday-Saturday 2-11 pm.
4. Bisou
15 Boulevard du Temple, 75003 Paris & 98 Quai de Jemmapes, 75010 Paris
With locations in Le Marais and Canal Saint-Martin, you can enjoy your mocktail in some of the best neighborhoods in Paris!
The unique thing about Bisou is that it doesn’t have a menu at all. Nope. You just talk with your bartender, tell them your preferences and tastes, and they craft up the perfect drink for you! This includes both cocktails and mocktails!
So the world is truly your oyster here! They even have set prices for a cocktail, mocktail, or beer. Thankfully, these mocktails are cheaper than a regular drink. So save money, have a unique, expertly crafted mocktail, and enjoy.
Hours: Everyday from 5 pm-2 am.
5. Prescription Cocktail Club
23 Rue Mazarine, 75006 Paris
This charming cocktail club in the 6th also has some mocktail options on their menu too! Just make sure that you make reservations ahead of time!
Hours: Monday-Thursday from 7 pm-2 am. Friday-Saturday from 7 pm-4 am. Sunday from 8 pm-2 am.
6. Nolinski
16 Av. de l’Opéra, 75001 Paris
This bar and restaurant in the 1st has a fun bar that serves mocktails, juices, and teas/tea infusions to enjoy!
Hours: Tuesday-Saturday from 5 pm. Pianist from 6:30 pm on Thursday-Saturday.
7. Le Perchoir Ménilmontant
14 Rue Crespin du Gast, 75011 Paris
Who says rooftop bars are just for those with cocktails? This place, located in the 11th, has quite a long and fun mocktail list! Perfect for a summer sunset with friends with views over Paris!
Hours: Monday-Friday 6 pm-2 am. Saturday 4 pm-2 am. Sunday 4 pm-12 am.
Now these are hardly the only bars and cocktail clubs that serve alcohol free drinks in Paris. But these do have dedicated mocktails on their menus or say that they make mocktails (i.e. Bisou as they don’t have menus).
However, you’ll find that most bars (and even restaurants for that matter) have a mocktail or two either on their list or have suggestions for non-alcoholic drinks.
Restaurants in Paris With Mocktails
I get it. You want to enjoy a great drink with a great meal. But you don’t want that drink with alcohol. And you don’t necessarily just want water or a soda. Here are restaurants that serve up mocktails with their food.
1. Drinks&Co
106 bis Rue Saint-Lazare, 75008 Paris
Okay, Drinks&Co pretty much hits all the categories of shop, bar, and restaurant because it literally does it all!
Enjoy delicious tapas amongst friends or your partner as you sip delicious mocktails!
Hours: Monday-Saturday 6-11 pm.
2. Nolinski
16 Av. de l’Opéra, 75001 Paris
Delicious French food served with a mocktail sounds delicious!
This place is also mentioned above for its mocktails as it’s also a bar. But its restaurant also serves up mocktails to go with your meal!
Hours: Monday-Saturday 7-10:30 am and 12-10:30 pm. Closed on Sunday evenings.
3. Le Train Bleu
Gare de Lyon, Pl. Louis Armand hall 1, 75012
This is one of the prettiest restaurants in Paris! This Belle-Epoque era restaurant is located in the Gare de Lyon train station.
What was once a place for passengers to get a delicious meal before taking the train south is now a popular place for many diners (those departing from the train station or staying in Paris!).
I went here on a recent visit and loved their mocktail selections! They had a couple of seasonal mocktails on their food menu, but their bar menu has plenty more mocktail options.
Back in March, I loved their sakura mocktail with cherry blossom. But I also ordered an alcohol-free Moscow mule from their bar menu which was also delightful!
Hours: Daily from 11:15 am-2:30 pm and 7-10:30 pm.
4. Poni Bistro
24 Rue Saint-Lazare, 75009 Paris
This is such a cute local bistro in Paris where I’ve had lunch and a fun mocktail from their menu! They had mocktails featuring tea infusions! They have a handful of options that go well with their delicious menu.
Hours: Daily from 11 am-2 am. The kitchen is open from 12-11:30 pm.
5. La Cantine Champ Libre
9 Rue Taylor, 75010 Paris
Located in the 10th arrondissement, this place has delicious gourmet food and you can order up something off their drink menu, which has been “carefully curated” in their own words. They have artisanal sodas made in France, as well as delicious mocktails.
Hours: Tuesday-Friday 12-3 pm and 7:30-11 pm. Saturday-Sunday 11:30 am-3 pm and 7:30-11 pm.
6. Le Comptoir General
84 Quai de Jemmapes, 75010 Paris
Located along Canal Saint-Martin, this local eaterie features small plates that are perfect for sharing on date night or with friends. They also do a nice brunch with a prix fixe menu.
And they have a delightful mocktail list, especially on their dinner menu. They even feature an alcohol free negroni!
Hours: Tuesday-Sunday from 6 pm. Sunday brunch from 11 am-3:30 pm.
Bonus: Restaurants Featuring Tasting Menus With Alcohol-Free Drinks!
This is something I’ve been seeing lately at many tasting menu establishments. Even while in Helsinki this past winter, I noticed a tasting menu with a mocktail pairing too!
This is starting to pop up in Paris as well, with some restaurants doing tasting menus with mocktail pairings to compliment your meal!
So if you’re looking for a more upscale date night, these are great choices!
1. Trace
15 Rue de Richelieu, 75001 Paris
This haute French restaurant is made even more delicious with its soft drinks pairing, meant to complement your meal.
Their 7-course menu starts at €145 per person, with the soft drinks pairing being an additional €55.
Hours: Tuesday-Saturday 7-9:30 pm.
2. Restaurant David Toutain
29 Rue Surcouf, 75007 Paris
For a fabulous 2-star Michelin experience without the booze, this is it! This place is known for its creative dishes, which can be made even better with its alcohol free drink pairing!
Tasting menus here range from €108-258 with the dinner tasting menu (and most expensive lunchtime menu) being €258. The alcohol free pairing ranges from €88-158.
Hours: Monday from 12:30-2:30 pm and 7:30-10 pm. Tuesday from 12-2:30 pm and 7:30-10:30 pm. Wednesday from 7:30-10:30 pm. Thursday-Friday from 12-2:30 pm and 7:30-10 pm.
3. Yam’Tcha
121 Rue Saint-Honoré, 75001 Paris
For another Michelin-star restaurant, this place has 1 star and is known for its French-Asian fusion food! Plus, you can opt to do the tasting menu with teas! The tasting menu is €190 and the tea pairing is €50.

Note: With all restaurants, always make reservations in advance if you can!
Regular Things to Order Anywhere if You’re Sober in Paris
While I’ve listed out bars and restaurants with fun mocktails, it certainly isn’t an exhaustive list. In fact, many many restaurants and bars will feature mocktails!
But there are other things you can order at any old cafe, bistrot, restaurant, etc., that doesn’t contain alcohol but are still fun. Here are some things to order:
1. Soda or Water/Sparkling Water.
This is obvious, but yes, you can always get a soda as well as still or sparkling water.
France LOVES sparkling water, and they have delicious sparkling water. So you can easily find that anywhere. And if you want a Coke Zero (aka Coca-Cola Zéro Sucres), or a regular Coca-Cola, you can find that too.
But, there is a fantastic soda you may want to try called Orangina. It is literally my favorite soda of all time and it’s something I have to get on every visit to France! It’s essentially sparkling water with orange juice mixed in. AND it has pulp too!
Think of it like a sparkling orange juice. It is delicious.
2. Sirop.
The French LOVE a good sirop. They’ll drink this at apero, lunch, anytime really too. It is a flavored syrup (mint is really popular, but they have flavors like cassis, strawberry, grenadine, etc.).
You order a sirop, and they’ll bring you sirop in a glass. Then, you can pour water in it and mix and enjoy a fun flavored water drink! You can also ask for sparkling water and mix it with that too!
To spice things up a little, you can even order a diabolo. This is sirop mixed with lemonade soda. A diabolo menthe (with mint sirop) is quite popular, but you can do this with any sirop flavor.
To be really French, you can even order the mint sirop with milk. It’s called a lait menthe, and it is a nice summertime drink.
3. Limonade.
Limonade is very popular too. It’s a sparkling lemon drink that is refreshing.
4. Coffee, Tea, etc.
And, as always, you can order coffee, tea, etc.
Pro-Tip: Want to make sure a drink doesn’t have alcohol? If you want to make sure a drink is nonalcoholic in France, be sure to ask or look for “sans alcool.”
