Searching for the Ever After filming locations? Well then, where do we begin…oh yes!
Once upon a time, I was a young girl of 7 who watched Ever After: A Cinderella Story for the first time. This movie, starring Drew Barrymore, was set against the most delightful castles. And, being 7, and Google didn’t exist, I just figured they were set pieces and went about my day.
It wasn’t until many years later that I realized these were REAL LIFE places you could visit!
An Instagram post from Explore France popped up on my page that shared filming locations in France. I saw the main castle, and it stopped me in my tracks.
I searched the castles and realized 1) they’re in the Dordogne, and 2) I was going there soon!
Did I immediately sprint to my excel doc (yes I make excel docs for my trips–blame for former accountant self) to make sure I included a place or two during my Southwest France road trip? Absolutely!
And now, I’m sharing them with you! If you love Ever After: A Cinderella Story as much as I did as a child and still do now (I’ve watched it 3 times this year!), let’s talk about how to visit these places for yourself while in one of the prettiest parts of France!
Don’t have time to read this now? Save it for later here!

TLDR: Where Was Ever After Filmed?

- Where was Ever After filmed? Mainly in the Dordogne/Perigord in Southwest France
- How many Ever After filming locations can you visit? 6.
- Can I visit Danielle’s house? Her house was filmed in 2 places, one of which is open to visitors: Château de Fenelon. The other, Château de la Roussie, is a private property, with a vacation property for rent next door.
- How long do I need? To see them all, I’d allocate at least 3 days for the main sites + a little extra for exploring. To really enjoy these locations and the Dordogne, opt for 4-5 days.
